PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain thresher in which power consumption is reduced and efficiency of threshing is improved.SOLUTION: A threshing chamber cover 18 covers at least an upper side of a threshing cylinder 13 and an upper side of a cut-ears processing device 14. Threshing teeth 17 of the threshing cylinder 13 are formed to be flat along a plane parallel to the axial direction of the threshing cylinder 13. The cut-ears processing device 14 processes the cut ears occurring in the threshing cylinder 13. In a cross section cut at a plane orthogonal to the axial direction, a threshing chamber cover 18 is gradually separated from the outer periphery of the threshing cylinder 13 as being more downstream in the rotation direction in the threshing cylinder 13 to form a space above the threshing cylinder 13 and above the cut-ears processing device 14. Thereby, since grain straws 22 can be separated from the outer periphery of the threshing cylinder 13, it can be prevented that the grain straws 22 are wound on the threshing cylinder 13, and the excessive power consumption of the threshing cylinder 13 can be suppressed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】動力消費を抑え脱穀の効率を向上させた脱穀装置を提供する。【解決手段】扱室カバー18は、扱胴13の上方と、穂切れ処理装置14の上方と、を少なくとも覆う。扱胴13が有する扱歯17は、扱胴13の軸方向に平行な平面に沿って扁平に形成される。穂切れ処理装置14は、扱胴13で発生した穂切れを処理する。そして、前記軸方向と直交する平面で切断したときの断面において、扱室カバー18は、扱胴13の回転方向下流側に向かうに従って、扱胴13の外周から徐々に離れていくように形成されることで、扱胴13の上方及び穂切れ処理装置14の上方に空間を形成している。これにより扱胴13の外周から穀稈22が離れることができるので、穀稈22が扱胴13に巻き付いてしまうことを防止し、扱胴13の余分な動力消費を抑えることができる。【選択図】図2
