PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel aqueous cosmetic in which temporal increase of hardness is suppressed and storage stability is excellent.SOLUTION: The invention provides a gel aqueous cosmetic containing a compound represented by the following general formula (1), fatty acid or a salt thereof, and water, wherein the content of fatty acid or a salt thereof is 0.01-5 mass% to the total mass of the gel aqueous cosmetic in terms of fatty acid, and hardness at the time of measurement at 25°C is 1-1000 g.
