PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelatinous aqueous cosmetic that inhibits a rise in hardness with time and has excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: A gelatinous aqueous cosmetic contains a compound represented by general formula (1), fatty acid or salt thereof, and water. The content of the compound represented by general formula (1) is 0.5 mass%-15 mass% relative to the total mass of the gelatinous aqueous cosmetic the content of the fatty acid or salt thereof is 0.01 mass%-5 mass%, in terms of fatty acid, relative to the total mass of the gelatinous aqueous cosmetic, and 0.33 mmol-1.0 mmol relative to 1 g of the compound represented by general formula (1). The gelatinous aqueous cosmetic has a hardness of 1 g-1000 g when measured at 25°C.
