摘要：: The present invention relates to a method for extracting buds 8 from a stalk 1 of a graminaceous plant comprising the steps of automatically detecting a bud 8 on the stalk 1 and cutting out a vegetal tissue comprising the bud 8 based on the detected position of the bud 8. According to the method the step of detecting the bud 8 on the stalk 1 comprises obtaining the longitudinal position of the bud 8 in the longitudinal direction of the stalk 1 and the circumferential angle position of the bud 8 on a cross section of the stalk 1, said longitudinal position and circumferential angle position defining the position of the bud 8.
