A plant cultivation method comprising a step of bringing seed into contact with water having an electric conductivity of 50 μS/cm or less, such as ion-exchange treated water, and a seedling raising step of raising seedlings. Germination and raising of seedlings are carried out using a multistage shelf-type seedling raising device having a closed space that is shielded from light, and then planted and cultivated in a field that uses sunlight.
