PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which does not strongly compress a hypogastrium, efficiently suppresses falling off during wearing, and hardly allows other person to know that a wearer wears the absorbent article.SOLUTION: Vertical direction lengths ALx, CLx of a side seal part S are shorter than a length BLx for one of three equal parts in to which a vertical direction length between lower ends Sb and Sb of side edge parts of respective exterior bodies 3 of an abdominal part A and back part C jointed on the side seal part S is divided. On the abdominal part A and back part C which are side seal part existence areas, a waist part 10 and a leg part 12 have a filamentous or belt-shaped specific elastic member which is jointed to a sheet-shaped member with an adhesive in an extended state in a lateral direction Y, and an intermediate part 11 has no specific elastic member. A magnitude relation of extension stress in the lateral direction Y satisfies waist part 10>leg part 12>intermediate part 11.
