The present invention relates to insulin analogs having a reduced rate of removal by insulin receptors compared to wild type insulin, and insulin analog conjugates of the same. In addition, the present invention relates to sustained release preparations of the insulin analogs using insulin analogs or conjugates thereof, sustained release preparations containing the conjugates for preventing or treating diabetes, and sustained release preparations containing the insulin analogs or the conjugates thereof and an insulinotropic peptide or derivatives thereof for preventing or treating diabetes. Additionally, the present invention relates to a method for treating diabetes using the insulin analogs, the conjugates thereof, the sustained release preparations of insulin, and the sustained release preparations for preventing or treating diabetes. The insulin analogs of the present invention has a reduced rate of insulin receptor-mediated elimination compared to wild type, so a half-life of the same in the blood is reduced.
