PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for improving operability with respect to a bending operation lever.SOLUTION: A recessed groove 58 extended in a circular arcuate shape in the longitudinal direction of an operation part 11 is formed in a part of an operation body 32 (an operation part body case 45). Thus, a user, etc., uses the recessed groove 58 as a guide thereby to move a part of a thumb, etc., forward/backward along the groove part 58.
