Provided is an absorbent article having a fluid-absorbing layer that stretches and shrinks along the body of a wearer, has excellent adherence, is unlikely to have leaking of a bodily fluid excreted in a center section thereof, and has a desired absorption performance. Surface and rear layers (8, 9) of the absorbent article (10) have stretching properties. The fluid-absorbing layer (13) has center stretching means (16) positioned in the center section thereof and side stretching means (18) positioned in both side sections thereof. The center stretching means (16) is formed from first slits (15) that intersect the vertical axis (P) and are lined up separated by a specified distance in the vertical axis (P) direction. The side stretching means (18) extend towards the vertical axis (P) from both side edges (13c, 13d) of the fluid-absorbing layer (13) and are formed from a plurality of pairs of second slits (17) mutually separated in the horizontal axis (Q) direction in the vicinity of the vertical axis (P). The second slits (17) are positioned between the first slits (15) lined up in the vertical axis (P) direction and the inside ends of the second slits (17) are positioned further on the vertical axis (P) side of than the outside ends of the first slits (15).Linvention concerne un article absorbant comprenant une couche dabsorption de fluide qui sétire et se contracte le long du corps dun porteur, qui a une excellente adhérence, qui est peu susceptible davoir une fuite de fluide corporel excrété dans une section centrale de celui-ci, et qui a une performance dabsorption souhaitée.
