PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing edible meat in which edible meat having odd taste and/or odd smell is used as raw material meat if it is used for food as it is or after normal cooking and the odd taste and/or the odd smell are reduced.SOLUTION: There is provided the method for producing animal-derived edible meat having suppressed odd taste and/or odd smell, which includes a meat processing step of arranging the animal-derived raw material meat in an alternating electric field. The meat processing step may be performed in a state of immersing the raw material meat in water.
