PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PET apparatus and a PET-MRI apparatus capable of improving the picture quality of captured PET images.SOLUTION: In the PET apparatus, a second detection part is arranged on the outer periphery side of a first detection part to detect a gamma ray passed through the first detection part. A counting information collection part collects a detection position of the gamma ray detected by the first detection part, an energy value and detection time as first counting information and collects a detection position of a gamma ray detected by the second detection part, an energy value and detection time as second counting information. An energy value addition part adds the energy value included in the second counting information to the energy value included in the first counting information to generate corrected counting information. A simultaneous counting information generation part generates a combination of corrected counting information obtained by approximately simultaneously detecting a gamma ray emitted from a positron emission nuclide as simultaneous counting information.
