PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants-type wearing article which solves the problems of wearing articles such as an underpants-type diaper or the like having a band material on the skin-side surface of an external body and improves tearing property of side seal sections after use while maintaining advantages of adopting the band material such as reinforcing effect, liquid leakage preventing effect, improved appearance or the like.
SOLUTION: The underpants-type wearing article has the band material 2 arranged on the skin side surface and on the abdominal side or the back side of a waist part of the external body and extends in the waist direction of the external body. At least the upper end edge 2i and/or the lower end edge 2k of the band material 2 are/is exposed on the skin surface side, and right and left side ends of the band material are interposed between and bonded by the side seal sections. The width of the band material 2 from the upper end edge 2i to the lower end edge 2k is shorter than the length in the height direction of the side seal sections 3. The band material 2 has tear inducing cut structures 7 in the vicinity of the part interposed between and bonded by the side seal section 3.
