To provide an indwelling needle assembly with a novel structure which enables improvements in safety or the like, compared with a conventional indwelling needle assembly.SOLUTION: An indwelling needle assembly includes an indwelling needle, a needle hub, and a needle tip protector which is externally attached to the needle hub and moves to a needle tip side for covering a needle tip of the indwelling needle, and prevents re-exposure of the needle tip of the indwelling needle as a locking part provided on the needle tip protector is locked on the needle hub. a) On the needle tip protector, a circular expanding part having a small diameter part and a large diameter part is provided on a proximal end side of a tubular peripheral wall, a needle hub engaging part is provided on the peripheral wall of the large diameter part, and the locking part integrally formed on the tubular peripheral wall is provided at a position corresponding to the large diameter part of the expanding part. b) On the needle hub, an engaging arm which holds the needle tip of the indwelling needle in a protruding state and a connecting tubular part which protrudes on the proximal end side with respect to a proximal end part of the engaging arm which is a supporting point when the engaging arm elastically deforms are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3【課題】従来よりも安全性などの向上を図ることのできる、新規な構造の留置針組立体を提供する。【解決手段】留置針と、針ハブと、前記針ハブに外挿装着されて針先側へ移動することで該留置針の針先を覆う針先プロテクタとを備え、該針先プロテクタに設けられた係止部が該針ハブに対して係止されることで該留置針の針先の再露出が防止されるようになっている留置針組立体であって、ａ）前記針先プロテクタには、前記筒状の周壁の基端側に、小径部と大径部とを備えた円形の拡開部が設けられ、前記大径部の周壁に、針ハブ係合部が設けられ、前記拡開部の前記大径部に対応する位置に、前記筒状の周壁に一体形成された前記係止部が設けられて、ｂ）前記針ハブには、前記留置針の針先を突出状態に保持する係合腕と、前記係合腕が弾性変形する支点となる当該係合腕の基端部分よりも基端側に突出した接続筒部と、が設けられている。【選択図】図３
