PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant extract-containing beverage and a plant extract-containing beverage base which are excellent in body taste and prevent unpleasant taste, and a method for improving the taste of a plant extract-containing beverage.SOLUTION: A plant extract-containing beverage according to the present invention contains water-soluble dietary fibers in an amount of 0.10-2.50 w/v% and contains glutamic acid in an amount of 0.00008-0.00087 w/v%. In a plant extract-containing beverage base according to the present invention, when the content of the water-soluble dietary fibers is X w/v% and the dilution ratio is M times, X/M satisfies 0.10-2.50, and when glutamic acid is G w/v%, G/M satisfies 0.00008-0.00087.
