PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter equipped with a planting apparatus for picking off seedlings from a seedling tray to transplant the seedlings in a field and with a non-constant conversion mechanism capable of switching a transmission state to the planting apparatus into a constant velocity transmission state or a non-constant velocity transmission state, which can reduce non-smooth motions from the picking time of the planting tine to its planting time in the non-constant velocity transmission state, thereby making it possible to prevent the disorder of a seedling-planting posture and improve the accuracy of the planting. SOLUTION: This transplanter is characterized by disposing a speed-limiting mechanism for limiting the constant or higher speed travel of the transplanter with an operation for switching the constant speed / non-constant speed conversion mechanism to the non-constant speed side. The transplanter is characterized by disposing a speed-setting operation tool for setting the vehicle speed of the transplanter and disposing a speed-limiting mechanism for limiting the operation range of the speed-setting operation tool to limit the prescribed or higher speed travel of the transplanter.
