PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter capable of decreasing a number of intrarow spacing in which a nonuniform speed change is conducted to a minimum necessary extent and capable of optimizing a locus of a planting claw in each intrarow spacing. SOLUTION: This transplanter is equipped with a nonuniform speed change mechanism 42 which conducts a change in a planting action speed during one cycle, without changing a planting cycle of a planting mechanism 15, wherein the transplanter is composed of a nonuniform speed transmission route passing the nonuniform speed change mechanism 42 and a uniform speed transmission route not passing the nonuniform speed change mechanism 42, a changeover between the nonuniform speed transmission route and the uniform speed transmission route is conducted by a speed change gear 39 of an intrarow spacing speed change mechanism 38, further, intrarow spacing speed change mechanisms 30, 38 are composed of a first intrarow spacing speed change mechanism 30 for conducting only an intrarow spacing speed change and a second intrarow spacing speed change mechanism 38 for conducting the intrarow spacing speed change and a uniform speed changeover or a nonuniform speed changeover in a downstream area thereof, and a number of speeds of the second intrarow spacing speed change mechanism 38 is made to be larger than a number of speeds of the first intrarow spacing speed change mechanism 30.
