Grâce à lélasticité du matériau, le volet reste fermé et par poussée avec les doigts/cliquet de fixation (du dispositif de levage), lattache peut être ouverte pour monter lattache sur le cliquet de fixation ou la démonter de celui-ci. La languette de verrouillage peut prendre différentes positions, la position ouverte possible des deux côtés, et la position fermée dans la position de repos.
