The invention relates to a guiding device comprising: a fixed guiding device consisting of a marking (130, 211,311) containing an electroconductive material, on a pre-defined path that can be used by a visually impaired person, parallel to said path, characterised in that the quantity and/or distribution of said conductive material is uniform over the marking parallel to the path over a distance of at least one metre and is variable close to events on the path and a mobile guiding device to be used together with the fixed guiding device and characterised in that it comprises a stick (201, 301), a sensor (202, 302) consisting of an electroconductive material positioned at the distal end of the stick, and a means (203 to 210, 303 to 305 ) for warning the user whenever the sensor detects an event.Le dispositif de guidage comporte dune part : un dispositif de guidage fixe comportant, sur un chemin prédéfini pouvant être emprunté par un malvoyant, parallèlement à ce chemin, une trace (130, 211,311) contenant un matériau électriquement conducteur, caractérisé en ce que la quantié et/où la répartition dudit matériau conducteur est uniforme sur ladite trace parallèlement audit chemin sur une distance dau moins un mètre et est variable à proximité dévénements se trouvant sur ledit chemin, et dautre part un dispositif de guidage mobile pour utilisation conjointement avec le dispositif de guidage fixe caractérisé en ce quil comporte : -une canne (201, 301), -un détecteur (202, 302) de matériau électriquement conducteur positionné à lextrémité distale de la canne et -un moyen (203 à 210, 303 à 305 ) d avertissement de l utilisateur lors de chaque détection réalisée par ledit détecteur.
