A surgical instrument, comprising: (a) a handle； (b) a barrel including a cutting and stapling rod； (c) an end clamp comprising a thrust member, a lower jaw, and an assembly for suturing and dissection responsive to longitudinal locking movement caused by handle and barrel； and (d) a removable cartridge, the upper jaw configured to accept placement of a cartridge therein, the cartridge comprising: (i) a body, (ii) a plurality of suture brackets located in the casing, (iii) a panel located above the plurality of suture brackets, moreover, openings are provided in this panel, each opening being substantially located above each suture bracket, and (iv) a biocompatible material, the cutting-stitching rod being configured to lay the biocompatible material on the fabric, while the assembly is for stapling and dissection simultaneously dissects and moves the suture braces into the tissue. 2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the cutting-stitching rod includes a nest configured to receive biocompatible material. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the biocompatible material is located on or below the cartridge panel of the cartridge at the proximal end of the cartridge. The apparatus of claim 2, wherein the biocompatible material is wrapped around a pair of coils. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the coils are spring loaded. 6. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the biocompatible material around the coils is extendable if the cutting-stitching rod moves along the groove of the cartridge panel in response to a longitudinal closing movement caused by the handle and the barrel.
