The present patent application, which belongs to the field of implements for poultry farming, proposes a linear feed trough with feed distribution and bird restraining device. The prior art anticipates a linear feed trough provided with a moveable feed belt in the bottom of the structure thereof and that runs along the entire length thereof and the feed hopper. Since this feed trough is open, the birds cluster around the start of the line when the feed is being supplied, resulting in some of the birds having access to the feed before other birds and consuming a greater quantity of feed, and a significant quantity of feed ends up between the links and under the belt, and this unconsumed feed is discarded when the equipment is actuated to clean the system. In an innovative arrangement, the subject matter of the present application is a linear feed trough (1) supplied by a feed pipe (20) positioned above and inclined downwards over the linear feed trough (1) during the supply process, closing access and having restraining cables along the structure thereof that are designed to replace the separation screens.
