The present invention pertains to an oral composition which contains an oil-soluble active component (e.g., isopropyl methylphenol, triclosan) in combination with an anionic surfactant, and can exhibit an excellent inhibitory effect on biofilm formation due to improved adsorbability of the oil-soluble active component onto tooth surfaces. This oral composition contains: (A) a C14-C20 olefin sulfonic acid or a salt thereof； (B) a C14-C20 hydroxyalkane sulfonate or a salt thereof； (C) one or two oil-soluble active components selected from the set consisting of isopropyl methylphenol, triclosan, thymol, and β-glycyrrhetinic acid； and (D) a water-soluble alkali metal salt. The total content of the component (A) and the component (B) is 0.001 to 2.5% by mass.
