An air treatment device (2) including a housing (3) having an enclosed fan (4), wherein the housing is arranged for releasable receiving inlet filter means connected to a suction side (8) of the fan and outlet filter means connected to a pressure side (13) of the fan. The housing (3) includes first connecting means including on the one hand elements for cooperation with a pre-filter in the form of at least a first particle filter (5), on the other hand elements for cooperation with at least one tubular first carbon filter (6',6"), for the coupling thereof with its inside to the suctions side of the fan and in a flow direction downstream of the pre-filter.
