Provided are a method for producing a silver-hydroxyapatite composite, and a composite produced thereby. According to the present invention, the method for producing the silver-hydroxyapatite composite comprises the following steps: adding a phosphoric acid solution into a mixture consisting of a calcium hydroxide suspension and a silver compound solution； dry-aging the mixture obtained in the previous step at an ambient temperature exceeding 80C until at least 80% of moisture can be eliminated； and sintering the mixture obtained in the previous step at 650-1350C. Since the production of the silver-hydroxyapatite composite is possible in a simple and economical way, the silver-hydroxyapatite composite is suitable to be used for antibacterial and antifungal purposes in various polymeric materials and construction materials which are used in large quantities.본 발명에 따르면 수산화칼슘 현탁액과 은화합물 용액의 혼합물에 인산 용액을 첨가하고, 결과된 혼합물을 80℃ 이상의 주위온도에서 80% 이상의 수분이 제거될 때까지 건조숙성시키고, 결과된 혼합물을 650~1350℃에서 소성하는 것을 포함하는 은-수산화아파타이트 복합체의 제조방법 및 이에 의해 제조된 복합체가 제공된다. 본 발명은 간편하고 경제적으로 은-수산화아파타이트 복합체를 제조할 수 있어, 다량으로 사용되는 건자재 및 기타 다양한 고분자소재에 항균, 항곰팡이 성능의 부여를 위해 적합하게 사용될 수 있다.
