PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with higher adhesiveness to a body and lower likelihood of leakage, which prevents a user from feeling discomfort while wearing.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 comprises a longitudinally long absorber 2 with liquid retention, a first rear surface sheet 3 provided on a skin non-contacting surface side, and folding parts 9, 9 bent toward a skin contacting surface side to be a momentum for forming a longitudinally abutting front area 5A, central area 5C, and back area 5B. The second rear surface sheet 5 is provided on the skin non-contacting surface side of the first rear surface sheet 3. In the second rear surface sheet 5, its front area 5A and back area 5B are respectively fixed on the first rear surface sheet 3 so as to form fixing parts 35A, 35B. A spacing between the first rear surface sheet 3 and the second rear surface sheet 5 located between the fixing parts 35A and 35B form a non-joint part 35C without jointed each other. Elastic members 6, 6 are provided on a side of the first rear surface sheet 3 in a formed area of the non-joint part 35C with elongated so that its expansion direction could be identical to the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article 1.
