Animal keeping installation comprising a floor (11) provided with a mat (12) on which the animal treads when setting foot on the floor(11) and which mat (12) is arranged to be intermittently propelled by a drive roll (13) placed internally in relation to the mat (12), wherein the drive roll (13) is connected to and mounted in bearing journals (15) for rotation about its centre axis in a pendulum(14) which allows the drive roll (13), on the one hand, to bear against the inner side of the mat (12) and, on the other hand, to be released from the said bearing contact in dependence on the position of the pendulum (14), and wherein the drive roll (13) is connected to a drive member (18, 19, 51, 62) for driving the roll (13) at least into a position where the drive roll (13) bears against the mat (12).La présente invention concerne une installation pour logement danimaux comprenant un sol (11) garni dun tapis (12) sur lequel marche lanimal quand il arrive sur ce sol (11), ce tapis étant organisé de façon à être entraîné par intermittence par un rouleau dentraînement (13) situé à lintérieur par rapport au tapis (12). Le rouleau dentraînement (13) est monté sur des paliers de tourillons (15) auxquels il est relié, de façon à tourner en pendule (14) autour de son axe central, ce qui permet au rouleau dentraînement (13), dune part dagir contre la face intérieure du tapis (12) et, dautre part de se dégager du palier en fonction de la position du pendule (14). Le rouleau dentraînement (13) est relié à un élément dentraînement (18, 19, 51, 32) servant à entraîner le rouleau (13) au moins jusquà une position où le rouleau dentraînement (13) agit contre le tapis (12).
