131211222y+322 2What are proposed are aqueous surfactant compositions comprising one or more alpha sulfo fatty acid disalts (A) of the general formula (I): RCH(SOM)COOM wherein the radical R is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical with 6 to 18 carbon atoms and the radicals M and M independently of one another are selected from the group H Li Na K Ca/2 Mg/2 ammonium and alkanolamine one or more amidoalkylbetaines (B) of the general formula (II): R CO NH (CH) N(CH) CH COO (II) wherein the radical R is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical with 7 to 19 carbon atoms and the index y is an integer in the range 2 to 4 and water where specific limiting conditions are to be observed. These compositions are transparent storage stable are characterized by good foaming ability and good viscosity and are suitable for cosmetic products and also detergents and cleaners.
