According to an embodiment, a walking monitoring system comprises: a sensing module mounted on a shoe of a wearer and acquiring location information of the wearer； a communication network connected to the sensing module and receiving the location information from the sensing module； a main server connected to the communication network, receiving the location information from the communication network, and determining whether the wearer is walking abnormally based on the location information； and a guardian terminal receiving a notification signal from the main server when the abnormal walking of the wearer occurs. The sensing module includes: a GPS receiving unit receiving a signal from a GPS satellite and outputting the location information； a wireless transmission unit connected to the GPS receiving unit and the communication network, and transmitting the location information received from the GPS receiving unit to the communication network； and a battery electrically connected to the GPS receiving unit and the wireless transmission unit.
