A food composition is provided which contains concentrated extract of fresh shellfish and herb medicine extracts comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of dried orange peel, arrowroot, licorice root, houttuyniae herba, and raphani semen, wherein a weight ratio of the shellfish extract to the herb extract is from 4.0:1 to 5.0:1. Owing to excellent promotion of alcohol metabolism, the composition can be useful in prevention and treatment of intoxication by alcohol.
