The present invention relates to a formulation of coating material of Eleusine Coracana which can be applicable for sustained release/ Controlled release / prolong release or slow release action . Normally polymer is dissolved in aqueous or non-aqueous solvent based on its solubility for the application of coating to a solid dosage form. Natural excipients are preffered over synthetically processed because of better patient benefit, cost effectiveness, less processing steps and environmental friendly. Therefore present invention uses Eleusine Coracana as a coating material which is natural substance having good shelf life and high nutritional content. Eleusine Coracana is used as a coating material for pharmaceutical use.
