Disclosed is a transparent or translucent cosmetic which can fit to the skin rapidly and has excellent preparation stability. Specifically disclosed is a transparent or translucent cosmetic containing (a) a silicone surfactant represented by formula (I) and (b) a nonionic surfactant comprising a polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene adduct of a higher saturated branched alcohol, wherein the adduct is represented by formula (II). [In formula (I), R1 represents a C1-6 alkyl group R2 represents H or a C1-6 alkyl group and k represents a numeral value of 3 to 30.] [In formula (II), R3 represents a C20-30 aliphatic saturated branched alkyl group m represents a numeral value of 11 to 15 (so as to represent a POP adduct that has a molecular weight of 930 or more when combined with a higher saturated branched alcohol mother nucleus) and n represents a numeral value of 15 to 30.]本發明揭示一種透明至半透明的化妝料,係含有:(a)式(I)所表示之聚矽氧系界面活性劑、與(b)式(II)所表示之高級飽和支鏈醇之聚氧丙烯、聚氧乙烯加成物所構成之非離子界面活性劑。本發明之化妝料係製劑安定性、對肌膚的親和速度優異。[式(I)中,R1表示C1~6之烷基;R2表示H、C1~6之烷基;k表示3~30之數],[式(II)中,R3表示C20~30之脂肪族飽和支鏈烷基;m表示11~15之數(但指的是與高級飽和支鏈醇母核合計之分子量為930以上之POP加成物);n表示15~30之數]。
