FIELD: study of protective properties of polymer coats. SUBSTANCE: process involves manufacture of electrode, deposition of polymer coat on it, its placement into corrosive medium, determination of electrode potential which change is used to estimate protective properties of polymer coat. Electrode is made from two materials differing by electrode potential to increase accuracy of determination of protective properties of polymer coat. Outer layer of electrode is made from corroding metal protected by coat.
