PURPOSE: Collagen from seaweed pipefish and a method for producing thereof are provided to obtain pepsin-soluble collagen and acid-soluble collagen with a metamorphic temperature of 34.8deg C and 35.1deg C, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing collagen from seaweed pipefish comprises the following steps: crushing the seaweed pipefish and suspending with caustic soda for obtaining an alkali-insoluble component； filtering the alkali-insoluble component, and washing the resultant with a neutral pH component； extracting the alkali-insoluble component with acetic acid and centrifugal separating； re-extracting the residue with the acetic acid； desalting the obtained surface liquid and centrifugal separating to obtain a precipitate； and dissolving the precipitate inside the acetic acid and dialyzing.본 발명은 실고기 유래 가용성 콜라겐 및 펩신-가용성 콜라겐에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 실고기 유래 콜라겐은 동결건조한 실고기 체중을 기준으로 ASC 5.5%와 PSC 33.2%였으며, a1과 a2 사슬을 함유한 I형 콜라겐으로 분류할 수 있고, 이미노산 함량은 포유류 콜라겐 보다 낮았으며, 변성 온도(Td)는 각각 34.8℃ 및 35.1℃으로, 본 발명의 실고기 콜라겐은 산업적 목적을 위한 대체 공급원으로 사용할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
