PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of efficiently suppressing shake when winding a fishing line around a spool by winding operation of a handle.SOLUTION: A fishing reel of the invention comprises: a spool 5； a handle arm 10a which is attached to an external end part of a handle shaft 12 being rotatably supported on a reel body； a knob part 10b provided on an end part of the handle arm 10a； a drive mechanism 30 for transmitting rotation of the handle shaft 12 to the spool 5 through a drag mechanism 20 on which brake force can be adjusted； and a brake force adjustment body 22 which is rotatably provided on the handle shaft and comprises an operation part 22a for adjusting the brake force of the drag mechanism 20.
