PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing powdered rubber from waste tire with a simple process, and its apparatus. SOLUTION: In the method and apparatus, a rubber material such as tire is brought into contact with a rotating grinding means to continuously manufacture finely powdered rubber while preventing the rubber material from being softened by heating followed by grinding. According to the invention, the tire is not required for cutting or chipping. The invention dispenses with the repetition of kneading-separation for separating rubber from steel cord or cord, thereby efficiently manufacturing rubber crumb with low input energy.
