The device has an upper convex shape flexible cover forming unit (1), a lower concave shape flexible cover forming unit (2), and a pole unit (3) disposed between the upper and lower cover forming units. The units (1, 2) are connected to each other on a part of their circumference. The pole unit exerts a stress between the units (1, 2). A stressing unit (20) stresses the circumference of the cover forming units. An independent claim is also included for an installation constituted of a pool and a pool covering device.
