PURPOSE:To keep the length of food refrigerating time under full control by indicating an advance warning before the preset shelf life of purchased foods. CONSTITUTION:A food shelf life indicating device is provided with ROM 2 for storing the names of foods, an input device 3 for entering the shelf life or deterioration warning date, an indicating device 5 for displaying the names of foods and the shelf life or the deterioration warning date, a buffer memory 4 for temporarily storing the data on the allowable length of shelf life or the deterioration warning date and the list of foods having such deterioration warning dates and a central processing unit 1 for displaying on the calling indicating device 5 the names of foods stored in the ROM 2 and the preset deterioration warning date thereof.
