PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wakefulness level determining apparatus which prevents misdetermination of a wakefulness level to enhance accuracy of the determination.SOLUTION: The wakefulness level determining apparatus obtains surrounding environment information which is the information related to a surrounding environment of a vehicle and corrects a reference opening degree of eyelids which is the reference for determining the wakefulness level from the obtained surrounding environment information.
