PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mental load estimation device obtaining the mental load of a driver with high accuracy.SOLUTION: This mental load estimation device determines whether or not traveling environment is environment wherein the driver is likely to feel the mental load by a traveling situation detection device 5 and an on-vehicle device operation detection device 6, and temporarily estimates the metal load of the driver according to each environment. The mental load estimation device determines and classifies situation adaptability of the driver from a difference in the mental load obtained in each environment, changes over a use characteristic amount in each class, and estimates the mental load of the driver by a multiple regression analysis method.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】運転者の心的負荷を精度よく求めることができる心的負荷推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】走行状況検出装置5及び車載器操作検出装置6により、走行環境が心的負荷を感じ易い環境か感じ難い環境かを判定し、各環境に応じて運転者の心的負荷を仮推定する。そして、各環境で得た心的負荷の差分から、荷運転者の状況適応性を判定してクラス分けし、各クラスで使用特徴量を切り換えて、重回帰分析法により運転者の心的負荷推定を行う。【選択図】図1
