The reservation processing device stores reservable event information relating to events to be reserved that are events provided by individual businesses differing with respect to business type and business category, obtains schedule information relating to the schedule of a user from a reservation applicant terminal, uses the acquired schedule information as a basis to specify an empty time slot in the schedule and preference information relating to the preferences of the user, uses at least the specified empty time slot and the preference information to specify one or more events that can be reserved for the empty time slot from among the reservable event information, and provides the specified event(s) to the reservation applicant terminal from which the schedule information used to specify the event(s) was acquired.
