PURPOSE: A plant community type water purifying apparatus using solar heat is provided to prevent the blockade of soil buried in a plant community filtering strip by supplying air instead of rainwater when rain is stopped. CONSTITUTION: Solar heat collecting unit collects solar heat and converts the collected solar heat into thermal energy. A thermal energy transferring unit transfers the thermal energy generated from the solar heat collecting unit. An expansion unit repeatedly expands and contracts based on the thermal energy. A rainwater supplying unit supplies rainwater stored in a reservoir(20) into a plant community filtering strip(40) based on the expansion and the contraction of the expansion unit. A controlling unit controls the supply of the rainwater based on the level of the rainwater in the reservoir. Another controlling unit controls the transfer of thermal energy.
