PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject rice transplanter compactified without bringing about such an unfavorableness that line markers come to contact with auxiliary wheels despite being collocated with the auxiliary wheels outside the rear wheels. SOLUTION: This rice transplanter of midmount fertilizer application type is so designed that a seedling planting device 3 is linked to the rear portion of a traveling machine body 1 enabling auxiliary wheels 8A to be collocated outside the rear wheels 8 and a fertilizer application device 4 is mounted on the above rear portion, and the seedling planting device 3 is mounted with a pair of left and right line markers 23 swingable with advance/retreat changeover between action posture for drawing a traveling reference line for the next practice on the field through lodging laterally outside and reception posture for coming within the width H of the seedling planting device 3 following rising so as to come along the backside of a seedling stand 14; wherein the line markers 23 are bent in such a state that its intermediate portion 23A is projectedly bent on the seedling stand 14 side.
