The present invention pertains to the field of immunology and geneticengineering. Inparticular, the present invention relates to the construction, preparation anduse of arecombinant vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease virus. The vaccinecomprises a tandemrepeat of an antigenic epitope of FMDV VPl protein, the constant region of theimmunoglobulin heavy chain or a functional fragment thereof, and the FMDV 3Dprotein oran immunogenic fragment thereof. The vaccine can induce protective immuneresponseagainst FMDV in an animal.
