A system and method for movement data detection is provided to detect at least one movement data of the user. A movement data detecting device for the user to wear includes a bending sensor, detecting the bending angle of the leg and generating a bending value, a position unit, detecting the position of user and generating a coordinate value, and an accelerometer, detecting the action of user and generating an action parameter. A control unit exports the bending value, the coordinate value and the action parameter to an electronic device through a communication unit. The electronic device calculates at least one movement data according to at least one of the bending value, the coordinate value and the action parameter.
