<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup system which can obtain an observation image of the vascular running state at a deep part of a living body. <；P>；SOLUTION: The image pickup system includes a light source means to generate the light in an infrared region exceeding at least a wavelength of 1,200 nm, an image pickup means having the sensitivity in the infrared region exceeding the wavelength of 1,200 nm, and a spectral diffraction means to control the wavelength so that the image pickup light used for the image capturing by the image pickup means which receives the reflection light or the transmission light of the light emitted to a subject has only a prescribed wavelength band exceeding the wavelength of 1,200 nm, wherein the prescribed wavelength band is the wavelength band including at least an optical absorption peak of the blood vessel. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
