PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting and separating structure equipped with a connecting and separating means for a throttle wire designed to simply and surely connect and separate the throttle wire in a brush cutter in which the middle of an operation rod or the operation rod and an engine are freely connected and separated.

SOLUTION: The connecting and separating structure of the brush cutter is obtained as follows: The connecting and separating means for the throttle wire installed in the connecting and separating structure is composed of a shaking lever 21 on the side of an operation part provided in a connector 2 on the side of the operation part and a shaking lever 31 on the side of an engine installed in a connector 3 on the side of the engine for connecting and separating the connector 2 on the side of the operation part. The shaking lever 21 on the side of the operation part has an input arm 212 on the side of the operation part and an output arm 213 on the side of the operation part sandwiching a shaking shaft 211 on the side of the operation part and connects a wire 22 on the side of the operation part to the input arm 212 on the side of the operation part. The shaking lever 31 on the side of the engine has an input arm 312 on the side of the operation part and an output arm 313 on the side of the engine sandwiching a shaking shaft 311 on the side of the engine. The wire 22 on the side of the operation part is connected to the output arm 313 on the side of the engine.
