PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle generation device blowing out charged particles in a wide range and capable of suppressing air volume at the center of a blowing out range, and to provide a humidifier.SOLUTION: An ion generation device integrally has an ion generator to generate positive-negative ions, and blows out the positive-negative ions through an outlet 80 together with sucked air due to blow by a fan. The outlet 80 is formed as an elongated hole long in a direction L of intersecting with a direction in which the positive-negative ions blow out. The dimension in a width direction W of the outlet 80 is short at the center in the length direction L and long at both sides.
