An inflation element for inflating a deformable device having an interior chamber and an inflation orifice providing fluid communication between the interior chamber and the ambient. The element includes a first pipe portion having a first mouth portion fluidly coupled to the ambient and a first interior channel fluidly coupled to the first mouth portion. A second pipe portion has a wall portion defining a second mouth portion fluidly coupled to the ambient. The wall portion defines a second interior channel fluidly coupled to the second mouth portion. The second interior channel is fluidly coupled to the first interior channel. The second pipe portion includes one or more slots formed through the wall portion and permitting fluid communication between the second interior channel and the ambient. The wall portion is configured such that the second mouth portion and one or more slots can be inserted into the inflation orifice.
