PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reliable washing and sterilizing while effectively using the exhaust heat of hot water used for the washing and sterilizing.SOLUTION: A hot water sterilization system for a water treatment apparatus includes a hot-water supply line 2 to a hot water tank 13, a pump 14 provided on the hot-water supply line 2 at the downstream side of the hot water tank 13, a line 7 to supply water to the hot water tank 13, and a first heat collector 9 for indirect heat exchange between the supplied water and the waste water produced from the washing and sterilizing. Further, an auxiliary heat source 16 for heating the water in the hot water tank 13 is controlled so that the temperature detected by a water temperature detector 22 in the hot water tank 13 becomes higher than the set temperature.
