PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the seat of a wheelchair slidable smoothly in the direction of a bed etc. while a user of the wheelchair is sat thereon, even when the user is either a person who can drive the wheelchair by himself or a person who requires nursing care.SOLUTION: The wheelchair which includes a seat part 23 having a seat surface 21, a frame part 1 supporting the seat part 23, a pair of drive wheels 4 positioned on the right and the left of the frame part 1 and a pair of front wheels 6 positioned in front of the paired drive wheels 4, includes a drive wheel retracting means 5 which is so provided as to be capable of moving at least one of the paired drive wheels 4 behind the seat part 23, and a seat part lateral sliding mechanism part 31 which has a constitution in which a guiding part 311 corresponding to a guiding object part 312 provided in the seat part 23 and extending in the right and left directions in the frame part 1 is so provided that it can slide the seat part 23 outward in the right and left directions of the side to which either one of the drive wheels 4 is moved after the drive wheel 4 is moved back by the drive wheel retracting means 5.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】車椅子の利用者が自ら車椅子を駆動できる者であっても要介護者であっても、車椅子の座席が車椅子の利用者が座ったままで滑らかにベッド等の方向へスライドできるものとする。【解決手段】座面21を備えた座部23と、座部23を支持するフレーム部1と、フレーム部1の左右に位置する一対の駆動輪4と、該一対の駆動輪4の前方に位置する一対の前車輪6とを備える車椅子において、前記一対の駆動輪4の少なくとも一方を座部23より後方へ移動できるように設けられた駆動輪の後退動手段5と、駆動輪の後退動手段5によっていずれか一方の駆動輪4を後方へ移動させた後、駆動輪4が移動された側の左右方向の外側方向へ座部23をスライドできるように、座部23に設けられた被ガイド部312に対応し、フレーム部1に左右方向へ延びるガイド部311が設けられて構成されている座部横スライド機構部31とを具備する。【選択図】図1
