PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for trimming chestnut branches by performing side branch renewal pruning, making a large form and a fine sight, causing less anthracnose, sufficiently maintaining, and raising the productivity.SOLUTION: This method for trimming chestnut branches includes keeping a main trunk planted on organic soil in a fixed length and forming a plurality (for instance, eight) branches from the main trunk, making cones on the half of the branches as the side branch and using the rest half as new treetops, and repeating of cutting the half collected side branches near the main trunk when pruning in winter to bring to new treetops, and growing the half new treetops to bring to side branches so as to stably produce large chestnuts of a beautiful maroon color.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 形状が大型で美観があり、炭疽病にかかることは少なく、管理が十分に行われ、生産性も高い側枝更新剪定を行う栗の整枝方法を提供する。【解決手段】 有機土壌に植付された主幹を一定の長さに保持すると共に主幹から複数本(例えば8本)の枝を形成せしめ、この半分を側枝として毬果を設けさせると共に残りの半分を新梢とし、前記半分の収穫した側枝は前記主幹の近傍で冬季剪定時に切断し新しい新梢とすると共に半分の前記新梢を生長させて側枝とすることを繰返し行って大形で美しいクリ色の栗を安定生産する。【選択図】 図1
